Meeting was called to order by R-7a.yor Ruff with the following Aldermen and City Officials present: Ald. J. N. Johnson; J. J. Roark, J. L. Dunham, City Atty. Kiibler, City Secretory Sharp, P,4inutes of the last meeting were read and approved. P.Iotion by Roark, second by Johnson, that the following schedule of bills in the amount of X1,120.01 be allowed and ordered paid: Wm. H. The La Porte Chamber of Commerce met with the City CoLUa.cil and discussed sevrer extensions and improvements axed agreed with the Council that the sewer system improvements are the most essential at the present time and t~mt the Chamber of Commerce Planning Coz:uni-ttee can be called u~ on at anytime for assistance. T,4otion by Johnson, second by hoark, that the City lay 6" sewer line and 3" water line to the Pfeiffer apartments in Bloch 1g6, La Porte with understanding that meter for each apartment be set. Carried. -'~` Motion b,,~ Roark, second by Johnson, that the City accept the service agreement with the Burroughs Adding TvTa.chine Co. for period of six months at rate of '~5.3g. Carried. 4'el The ~dayor turned the r,~atter of an estimate for sewer line ex- tension for I~'jrs. Cora Anderson over to the sewer committee. Motion by Roark, second by Johnson, that Wyatt C. Hedrick Engineering Firm be authorized to proceed with applications for government funds for preliminary plans for sewer improve- - ments. Carrie d..
