Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Motion oy Johnson, aeeond by rorria, that Mra. Cora Anderson be refunded the amount of X78.39 on hee sewer line extension deposit. Carried. 431 the Mayor presented a Tatter from A. 0. Blackwell requesting that the Counoil waive the penalty de interest on the delinquent taxes due on Blook 86, Bay Front. lotion oy Johnson, seoond by Morris, that sinoe it has not been the policy of the Counoil to waive the penalty and interest on delinquent taxes that this request not be granted. Carried. 1[otion oy Roark, seoond oy Johnson, that the City Sevretary sad George bimon be paid for 10 day vacation whioh is now due. Carried. Motion by Roark, seoond by Johnson, that the X800.00 whioh ilea been taken out oP the hpecial Deposit fund For drainage work be transferred From the Incinerator Fund to the ~psoial Deposit Fd. • and that the additional post of drainage work be paid out of tae Incinerator Fund. Carried. The City deeretary presented ~ cancelled City of Let Porte water system warrants ao.s 1 to 22 inclusive and S City of j'a Porte water System warrants Hos. 2~, 21~ ~ 25 whioh were not issued. Potion by a~rria, second ny Roark, that City of La Porte water System warrants eos 1 to 22, each in the principal sum of ;1,000, dated uotober 10, 1945 with Interest Coupons attached, also sos. e~, 2t~ ~~j whioh were not issued, be .turned over to the ldayor and City Secretary to bs destroyed by fire in the presence of the City Couneil and that proper affidavit oP this nation be presented at City Council meeting. Carried. 1[otion ay ~orria, aeoond oy Roark, that the City ~purchaee 1.~ tires and tubes for dump truck from C. C. 1~o11onadd on his low bid of ~~00.04 mounted. Carried. The 3dayor asked for the audit bide to be opened. Bide were opened and tabulated as follows: Tapp ~ Crosby, a'~j0.00, J. a. Phillips, ahePfield de Co. did not submit an estimate. Motion by horria, second by Johnson, that the auditing of the ,City sooounta be 43'7 r awarded to Tapp and Crosby on their bid of X250.00. Carried. 1[otion oy Johnson, second by Norris, that ~-ppl. Potion by borria, seoond ay xoark, that the awarding of eontraot ' to Ellis-Holstein Gen. ~ontraotors for metinhole and 80ft. of 6" sewer line extension to Lot 2, Block 215, La Porte, in the amount of #590.00 be ratified. Carried. Notion by Johnson, seoond by Norris, that the eontraot entered into with Nrs. S. C, Cook and the City of La Porte, dated Naroh 24, 194?, for sewer line extension to Block 213, eta Pvrtb eoasisting of cost of manhole and 80 tt. of 6" sewer line, ales water leas extension consisting of 396 tt. of 3/?~" water line be aoeepted.
