with the following members and city officials -present: Comtmissioa~ers Jas. S. Crate,
Jr. and Jas. E. Stewart, Supt. of Public VPorks Raleigh Erwin, City Attorney Jno. S.
Kiibler, and City Clerk J. E. Muldoon.
Motiarci by Stewart, seoond by Crate, to shell that portion of I~th Street, frown "J"
S~Creet to "H" Street. -
Carried.
The Commlesia~ instructed the City Clerk to write the State Highway Department for
permission for the Bayshore Garden Club, to plant palm trees on State Highway No•
1?~6 and "g" and 1~6 and Donaldson Avenue.
Mr. James De Lowder, representing the South Texas Equipment Cormpany, offered the city
a used Galion Grader for X6,750, with fifteen months to pay. The Commission advised
Mr. De Lewder that they would let him lmox of their action by the next Monday.
Motion by Stewart, second by Crate, to accept deed given to the city by A. A. Smith,
on property desoribed as Lots 5 to 28, both inclusive, in Blook l~19, Town of La Porte,
consideration being the oanoellatioai of his personal liability for .City of Ie~. Porte
ad valorem taxes aocrued.

Motion by Stewart, second by Crate, that the Following Resolution be adopted:
RES OLtIT I ON
Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of La Porte, Texas,
that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of La Porte be, and they are hereby, author-
iced and instructed to execute and deliver a Deed, without warranty, to ]l. 8. "Gene"
Bailey, conveying Lots No. Five (5) to Twenty-Eight (28), inclusive, in Blook No.
Four Hundred Nineteen (1.19) of the Toes of La Porte, in Harris County, Texas, in
consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars 010.00) and the assumption and payyment of
City oP La Porte delinquent ad valorem taxes against said property. And ~.t is so
ordered.

estimate No. ~, in the amount of $22,583.d~, same being approved far payment by the
City Engineer.
Carried.
Motion by Crate,-.second by Stewart, to authorize change order, if thought needed by the
City Engineer, to add valves, tyro forty-fives 'and support to Digestor, Por an additional
cost of ~ 110.00. ~ -
Carried.
Motion by Crate, second by Stewart, to pay hrs. Eula Erwin ~200.QO per month, beginning
January 1, 1~9.
Carried.
Motion by Stewart, second by Crate, that the meeting ad3ourn.
