LA PCRTE C 1T Y COMBQISS ION -MARCH 3, 1gI~8
10:00 A. M.
Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. J.
Pfeiffer, with the following members and Gity officials presents Cormiiss-
ioner James E. Stewart, Supt. of Public Works Raleigh Erwin, Police Chief
Walter Roberson, City Attorney Jno. S. Kiibler, and City Glerk J. E.Mul-
doon.
Mr. J. E. Clegg, representing the Humble Oil & Refining Company, appeared
before the Commission, and offered the Citg, without post, cn~.e Master Radio
Station, General Electric, with three Mobile Units, seven years old. He
alas suggested that the City give the equipmea~t a complete overhauling, if
they accept this station. He also stated the City would have to have a
lioeased operator.
Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to accept the radio equipment and to
write a letter of appreciation to the Humble Oil & Refining Company.
Carried.
Police Chief Roberson volunteered to secure proper forms froa- the Federal
Co:mnunioatioana Commission.
Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, to accept and approve bid documents
at 10:00 A. M. March 23rd, 19La.8.
Carried.
The Mayor ordered the City Clerk to have Advertisement for Bids, printod in
the official paper.
Motion by Stewart, second by Pfeiffer, that the meeting ad3ourn.
Carried.
