Special meetixig of the City CorBnissian uses called to order by Mayor H. J.
Pfeiffer, ~rrith the following members and city officials presents Commissioners
Jas. S. Crate, Jr,, and din. P. Jaoaes, Supt. csP Public ~V'orks Raleigh Erwin, Wm.
Mas~.ess and John T. Mc ~f'ee, representing Hyatt C• Hedrick, City IIigiuAer, A.
Tossnsend, representing Carl C. P~triok, City Attorney, and J. E. Muldoon, City
Clerk.
~r• France, directaac of the La Porte Be~shore Recreation Association, appeared
before the Commissiasa and requested permission to attach an awning to the store
roosa building fca• shade on tl~e playground. The Casnmissioa~ granted hie per-
-- mission to do this.
He also asked the City to cooperate with ham in building a svrimming pool. He
was advised they were in accord with this pro3ect, and they would cooperate
xith him as far as possib]s.
Mr. Hardin appeared before the Cas~¢nission in oartneotioa xith eatendimg rater
and sewer in Block No. 266, La Porte.
Mr. Maness and Mr. McAfee presented the Commissivs xith street plans f or per-
manent pavement.
Yotian by Crate, second by Jones, to accept plans as submitted by the City
Engineer, and to submit same to the State Highway Depart~esst for their approval.
Carried.
Motion by Crate, second by Jones, authorizing the City Engineer to draw plans
for a detentiaez tank for the sewer disposal plant.
Carried.
The Cammissias~ instructed the City Clerk to advise Mr. Frank Baker they would
not participate with the city employees in the paayment of the premiums on policy
submitted by him, but xould cooperate with him if the emsployees woofed to
assume the payment of the premiums.
The Casrrrai.ss ion unanimously ratified the City Clerkf s action in issuing permit
No• 9i~.3, to Moore & Moore, Contraotccs.
Motion by Crate, second by Jones, that the meeting ad~ourts,.
