Special meeting of the City Commission was call®d to a+rder by Mayor H. J.
Pf®iffer, With the following members and pity officials present: Ctmmnissic+aiers
Jas. S. Crate, Jr., and Wn. P. James, Wm. Maness, representing 1Pyatt C. Hed-
rick, City Engineer, Raleigh Lrvrin, Supt. of Pnblie Works, Carl C. 1'l~,trick,
C ity l~ttorney, and J. ° L. Muldoon, City Clerk.
The Mayor ordered the City Clerk to open bids an the air conditioning units
to be installed in the City Hall. The bids were opened and tabulated as
follows s

Bayshore Lumber Co. - 2 - 3/!~ Tan Fedders (Winda~r)

Motion by Jcross, second by Crat®, to purchase 2 - 3/1} Tan Fedders Units from
the Bayshore Lumber Company.
Carried.
The Mayor ordered the bids opened on constructing Imhoff Tank. The bids were
opened and tabulated as follows:
Womack Construction. Caanpany -Furnish all labor and. mat®rial including
eacavatian with exception of piping according to plans and specifications
by 1lyatt C. Hedrick, far $1b,Z,.l3•~t3• This quotation is based an 327
yards of concrete at $50.20 per yard a~oerage. It' exeavatioe. is dame
by other8, deduct $354.Q0 from bid.
Moore ~ Moore - Gamtractor8 -Famish aII labor and material with
excepticm. of piping for $32.83 per yard, 290 yards up or down.
Motion by Crate, aecond by James, appsintiag Jams A. Mo Cauley Plu~abing
and Euilding Inspector for the City, For the compensation of one~alf of
th® fees collected on plumbing and building permits issued, plus all of
the asset inspecti<sl fee, and that a bond in the sun of $1000.00 be fur-
nished by James .~.. Me Cauley is favor of the City of La Porte.

be adopt®d, with minor changes suitable to a city the sine of La Porte.
