J• Pfeiffer, with the following members and city officials present: Coamniss- ioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr. and 1~Tm. P. Jones, Raleigh Erwin, Supt. of Rtblic Works, Vim. Maness, representing 1Pyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, end J. E. Muldoar, City Clerk. Minstt$e of the last meetings were read and approved. 3~'T Potion by ~Iomes, sec and by Crate, to let Moore & Moore amend their- bid an. the 7~hoff Tank to read #37.83 per yard, instead of #32.83• Carried. Motion by Crate, second by Jones, to award Sam Goyen contract for ®acavatian work at Imhoff site, for consideration of #335.00• Carrion. The Commission instructed the City Clerk to pablish a notice of intention of the City to take bids on July 19, 15+9, for the sale of #50,000.00 worth of Water and Sewer System Revenue Bcasds. The Reaolutiam follows: THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF HARRIS ~ CITY OF LA PC~TE ~ A RESOLUTION .l~PPOINTIAG WILLIAM H. BAUGH AS MANAGER OF THE LA PO~RTE MUNICIPAL A1RPC$tT, CITY OF LA FORTE, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING REIMBURS~T F[83 ALL EIPENSES INCURRED IN BEHALF OF SAID AIRPORT UPON DULY AUTHENTICATED RECEIPTS BEING PRE- SENTED TO AND APPROVED °BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND PROVIDING FCR NO SALARY FOR SAID SERVICES . W~REAS, there has been an ever increasing demand for daily attentiaaa to various administrative functions pertaining to the operartian and maintenanoe of t~e La Porte Munioigal Airport and as a result thereof, there exists a necess- ity or a resgaais ible individual to he in charge of such affairs; WHEREAS, the 'City Council has given thorough oonsideratioa to the seleotion of an individual to perform the aforesaid duties and upaa~ motion by Wm. r. Jones, duly aeoamded by James S. Crate, Jr. and carried by unanimona vote, the offioe of Manager of said airpaa t rasa created; 309 N01P, THEREFt7ltE, BE IT RESOLITED, aub~eot to the aoceptanoe of the appointment herewith proffered, that the said WILLIAM H. BAIIGH be and is here- by appointed to the offioe of Manager of said airport, to serve in suoh oapa- oity until the expiration of the term of office of this administration or until suoh offioe is terminated by proper action oP the City Counoil; suoh servioes to be without oa~pensation, but the said William H. Baugh to be reimbursed for all eapenses incurred in behalf of the offioe upon presentation to and approval by the City Counoil of duly authenticated receipts; BE IT FIIRTHER RESObVED that the said William $. Baugh, in the capaoity aforesaid, shall be vested with the authority to cause to be: dare say and all ants necessary to the eoonoa-iosl and ordinary administration in the preservation, maintenanoe and operation of the airport and its faoilities and specifically, but not nedessarily limited to, shall have the authority to administer the following ftmations: (1} To establish and. maintain. liaison between any and all tenants, lessees or others who hold an interest in said airport or a portion thereof or who wish to acquire sny interest therein. (2) To reoeive axui investigate all complaints against said airport and to make his reoommendatian to the City Counoil when in convention. (3) To determine all safety regulations whioh should be invoked by the Council azd make his reoomumendatians aooordingly. (1~) To enforce all safety regulations now employed or to be employed and to r®port to the Council any violations thereof. (5) To inspect all properties, both real and personal, situated an the airport premises and belonging to the City, and make his report to the Counai2 of any properties in need of repair. (6) To receive all correspondence or inquiries as to the use of air- port faoilities and to refer all suoh matters deemed of substantial importance to the City Council together with his recommendations for the notion to be taken. (7} To refer all matters to the City Council which bind the City of La, Porte by an agreement in writing. BE IT FURTHER RESCI,VLD that two copies of this resolution be pre- aent®d to the said William. H. Baugh with the request that oa~e copy thereof be returned with his aaaeptanae of this appointment indicated thereon. DOTE this 5th day of July, A.
