Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. J.
Pfeiffer, with the following members and city officials present: CoumLiss-
ioner Jas. S. gate, Jr., Wm. Maness, representing Wyatt C. Hedrick, City
Eng ineer, Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, and J. E. Muldoon, City Clerk.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A4rs. Calvin Compton and Mr. Lattamore, representing the Bankers Life and
,: Casualty Company submitted the VYhite Cross Plan for the city employees, in
which the city'spart would be to handle the book-keeping on those employees
who wished to participate.
Nation by Crate, second by Pfeiffer, to approve the White Cross plan, sub-
jeet to the approval of the City Attorney.
Carried.
Motion by Crate, second by Pfeiffer, reimburse H. J. Pfeiffer X1,255.00,
for his payment to H. H. Coffield for 1 TrVestinghouse Leroi G®nerating unit.

Motion by Crete, second by Pfeiffer, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a
building permit to Roy Shipp for repair work on the Horloek Building in
Blook 197, La Porte.
Carried.
Motion by Crate, second by Pfeiffer, to ratify the issuing of a building
permit to Fred Westergren to raise roof 2 feet of lean-to of present buil-
ding.
Carried.
Motion by Crate, sec and by Pfeiffer, to allow Jim Rollins, Fire Chief, 5
gallons of gasoline each week.
Carried.
Motion by Crate, second by Pfeiffer, to place a new look on the gasoline
pump and t o let Charles Dunham issue all gasoline to city equipment, between
the hours of 8:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M.

Motion by Crate, seoond by Pfeiffer, instructing the City Clerk to publish
Plumbing Ordinance Caption, whioh was passed by the Commissioal August 2, 19.9•
Carried.
Motion by Crate, seoond by Pfeiffer, instructing the City Attorney to write
the following into the new plumbing ordinance which is being writtens
~rj0.00 deposit to be placed with the City to be used in the event
the plumbers cut through a concrete street, $25.00 for a shell street
or alley, and X10.00 for a dirt street or alley, deposit to be applied
in the event street or alley is not placed back in same condition as
to the satisfaction of the Plumbing Inspector.
Carried.
