M. 353 Regular meeting of the City Commission was eallecl to order by Mayor H. J. Pfeiffer, with the following members and city officials present: Commissioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr., and ti'Ym. P. Jones, City Attorney Carl C. Patrick, and City Clerk J.E. Muldoon. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. T~otion by Crate, second by Jones, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a building permit to .A. A. Womack, Jr., for building according to plans presented to the Commission for Ed Martin in Block Ia.3, La Porte. Carried. B~Iotion by Crate, second by Jones, that the following Resolution be adopted: RES ULUT IOiv SVHEFF;AS, heretofore, the Mayor of the City of La Porte prepared and submitted to the Board of Commissioners at its meeting held on October 13, 191}9, his proposed budget for the fiscal year July 1, 191.9 to June 30, 195A; and, "JHEP,EAS, the Board of Commissioners filed such proposed budget with the Clerk of the City on September 26, 191.}.9 and designated that a public hearing on such budget be held at the City Hall at 11:00 o'clock A. PJf. on October 27, 1919, and caused public notice of such hearing to be made; axed, "~JHEFtEAS, such public hearing has been held, it is therefore ordered by the Board of Commissioners that the budget as prepared and submitted by the Mayor, is hereby finally approved by the Board of Commissioners, and it is hereby ordered that a true copy of such approved budget, together vrith a copy of this order, shall be filed uz each of the offices of the Clerk of the City of La Porte, the County Clerk of Harris County, 'Texas, and the State Comptroller at Austin, 'Texas. The Commission instructed the City Clerk to publish Notice to Bidders that sealed bids will be received by the City of La Porte until 10:00 A. ~:., idovember 18, 19.9, for a Motor Grader with hydraulic or mechanical blade control, Tandem drive gas- oline powered, and in a light weight olass, not to exceed 9000 pounds .
