Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. J. Pfeiffer, with the following members and city officials present : Cormnissioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr., and Wm. P. Jones, Raleigh Lrwin, Supt. of Public y"forks, Johm Withers, repre- senting y~yyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, Jas. Mc- Cauley, Building and Plumbing Inspector, and J. E. I~=uldoon, City Clerk. r.4inutes of the last meeting were read and approved. The Mayor asked if there was anyone in the Commissioner's Chamber who wished to dis- cuss Ordinance No. 390, ~~ich was advertised in the La Porte Liberal on Nevember 18, and November 25. No citizens appeared to discuss the Ordinance. Motion by Crate, second by Jcmes, instructing the City Clerk to issue check for X100.00 to the La Porte Volunteer Firemen for prize money. Carried. Motion by Crate, second by Jones, instructing the City Clerk to take bids for the foll owing merchandise for the Fire Department 2 - 50' Lengths 3/l.}." Chemical Hose 15 -Firemen's Turnout Coats Carried. The Commission instructed the City Clerk to ask for bids on the construction of a concrete Junction Box at the intersection of y~est Main Street and 10th Street, according to specifications on file in his office. Bids to r~ a opened December 5, 1919, at to : oo A.M. "1'he Commission unanimously agreed to furnish three men, 8 hours each, at X1.00 per hour, and 20 yards a~' bank sand in setting culvert in connection with Junction Box at laiain and 10th Streets.
