Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by &ia.yor H. J. Pfeiffer, with the following members and city s~ffieials prosent: Corrmissioner Jas. S.Crate, Jr., Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, Raleigh Erwin, Supt. of I{~blic V~torks, Maness and Waggoner, representing ti"~yatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, and J. E. Muldoon, City Clerk. A~:inut es of the last meeting tirere read and approved. Mr. Maness, representing Wyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, informed the Commission that the Texas State Highway Department had informed him verbally that the plans submitted to them for review on curb and gutter and drainage, are considered satis- factory for letting of contract. The Mayor ordered the bids opened and read aloud, on the street impro~vemeats, as advertised for Ja.nua~y 5th, 1950. Carried. Motion by Crate, second by Pfeiffer, to appoint Marshall Diokerson as Dog Catcher in place of W. L. Rawlings, who had resigned, and instructed the City Clerk to order a surety bond for Dickerson in the amount of ~r1,000.00.
