Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by ~Zayor Pfeiffer,
t~ith the following members and city offic ials present : ~ommiss Toner 'r'Vm. P.
Jones, Carl C. Patrick, City Attorney, Raleigh Erwin, Supt. of Public U~orks,
YJm. Illaness, representing Vdyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, Jas. tic Cauley,
Building and ,Plumbing Inspector, and J.E. Tlluldoon, City Clerk.

I~Zr. Joe Shannon and P~i.ss Besse Shannon appeared before the Commission in. con-
nection with building permit on the old Port Theatre building. After a lengthy
discussion, the matter was referred to the City Attorney for a vrritten opinion.
He requested the Shannons to furnish him vrith plans and specifications and
the City Clerk was instructed to get estimates as to present value of the buil-
ding from Billie Bacon, A.A. rVomack, P.oy Shipp and D. Idlayes.
The Commission authorized the City Clerk to issue Building Permits for repair
work on the Hovey Apartments, and minor changes on the Angel Building.
Motion by Jones, second by Pfeiffer, authorizing the Building Inspector to pass
on building permits for minor repairs up to ~~250.00.
Carried.
iulotion by Jones, second by Pfeift~er, making the minimum electrical inspection
fee ;>1.00, instead of x.50, as set out in Ordinance Pio. 363.
Carried.
~3r. Tdaness, representing 7lyatt C. i-Iedrick, City Engineer, was instructed to
draw a map shotiving the various annexations and limits.
Carried.
i~.rtr. TvIc Cauley, Plumbing Inspector, was instructed to make the test on gas re-
c onne cti ons .
bIr. &Ic Cauley, Plumbing Ins pcctor, was authorized to order a ~« Stilson
~~Jrer~ch, and a 14ercury Gauge for gas tests.
