Pfeiffer, with the follovaing members and city officials present: Couu~~i.ss- ioners Jas. S. Crate, Jr.s and wm. r. Jones, City Attorney Carl C. Patricsk, VITm. Maness, reprosenting ti~fyatt C. Hedrick, City Engineer, and J. E. Muldoon, City Clerk. .:linutes of the last meeting were read snd approved. Pfeiffer, as Mayor, executed by a oorporate surety, was read ~,nd approved, upon motion by Cr~.te, second by Jones. Carried. The X3,000.00 bond of James S. Crate, Jr., as Caaunissioner, executed- by a corporate surety, was read and- approved, upon motion by Jones, seoond by Crate. Carried . The X3,000,00 bond of Wm. P. Motion by Jones, second by Crate, authorizing the City Clerk to issue eheak for same, after deducting X583.20, plus b/ from date of bill March 21, 1950, claia^. of Houston Dunbriak CompArry, along vrith affidavit from Moore & Moore, Contractors, trat all bills for labor and all bills for materials furnished in the construction of the Imhoff, Job No. 1.~OI0, had been paid ire full. Carried. The City ~n-as instructed to take bids on a fence around the wster tower in Block 1~.0, La Ports. bSr. Ernest Browns, Jr.s the city's Bond Broker, appeared before the Commiss- ion, :and a aommittae of citizens headed by Manton Ellis, Frank Baker, Geo. Counts, John Eckhardt, IJIr. Frs~ce, Mrs. Calvin Compton and Mrs. Odell Brow. Ile reported that he had visited the R. F. C. and it appeared that a loan could be made with them by the City making oertain concessions. The RTayor asked if there eras ansyone in the Co~iissioner~s Chamber who wished to discuss Ordinance No. 396, wY.ieh was advertised iri the La Porte Liberal on April 21, 1950 and April 28, 1950.
