regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. J. Pfeiffer,
with the following menbPrs and. city officials present: Commissioners ~ITm. P. Jones,
and. I~R.D. Burgin, City Attorney Carl C, Fatrick, Supt. of Public-'forks Ralei~. F~^rrin,
ar!d City. Clerk J. E. luldoon.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and aFproved.
The City Clerk presented the Commission petitions and applications for taxicab
service in behalf of fi~gurrell A. F3urg arri Tom E. Bolding. After discussion of both
applications, upon motion by F~urgin, second by Jones, to renew the taxicab permit
of Murrell ~'.. Berg.
Carried .
The Corr~nission unanimously agreed to ti^rait on issuing or denying a taxicau pernli.t to
Tom E. Bolding, until they could ascertain vrhetrer additional service was needed,
and appointed Commissioner Burgin to check with persons whose names were reflected
on Bolding' s petit~.on.
Motion by Jones, second by Burgin, authorizing the City Clerk to answer United
States Fidelity and Guaranty Company's query on the Century Construction Company
street paving contract, being completed, accepted and paid by the City, in full.
Carried.

The City Commission instructed the City Clerk to contact County Health Officer ~.--~.
Mills in regard to pigpen ...owned by one Slater Chappell.
~a~otion by Jones, second by Burgin, instructing the City Clerk to issue a check in
the amount of X11.68, to person designated by the .:Fire Chief for standing by for
tree paid fireman, this motion being in lieu of motion made February 15, 1951, in
connection with paid firem~a' s relief day.

The City Attorney was instructed to answer letter to Federal Government Agency
relative to moneys advanced for water facilities - Appl. -Tex. ?~1-P-551.
The City Clerk read a letter from the Civil Aerounatics Administration, Post
Office Box 1639, Fort i~Vorth, Texas, in which they stated that beacon equipment
located 2.7 miles nest of League City, Texas, haci been selected for transfers to
the City of La Porte, Texas. The City would have to carry out c ertain agreements,
and their transfer form ACA-2099.1 (5-50), would have to b e executed by the Ddayor
and City Clerk.
Motion by Jones, second by Burgin, to accept equipment as set out in the govern-
ment s schedule "A", League City, Texas, also authorizing the t~iayor and City Clerk
to execute their Form ACA-2099.1(5-50).
Carried.
A discussion was held on the cost of movir~ equipment to the La Porte municipal
~!irport and :maintaining same after it was eet up. The Mayor stated that the
Lessees, fiou-Port Aviation, Inc., mould maintain the dquipment. ,~
Motion by Burgin, second by Jones, to authorize amount up to X500.00 for moving
equipment , if in the event they failed to have equipment moved gratis.
Carried.
The Commission unanimously instructed the City Attorney to file suits for the
collection of paving assessments against the follol^dng property owners:
