Regular meeting of the City Commis sion was called to order by I.~Ia~ror H. J. Pfeiffer,

i:~Iotion by Burgin, second by Pfeif:E'er, to reject a17.. bids on the fence opened July 5,
1951, except the Coastal Fence Company, and t o accept the bid of the Coastal Fena~e
Company in the amount of 2,667.0., add or deduct at ~~2.0~. per lineal foot, bill to
be paid upon completion of fence and approved by the Public ~"larks Supc~intendent.
Carried.
The Ia4ayor ordered the bids opened and read aloud on the construction of adaitions
to the sewage treatment plant, as acivertisdd for July l9, 1951.
The bids vrere opened and read as follrn^rs:

A. S, Koehler - 90 calendar days

The i:Iayor instructed the Public 1'~(orks Superint dent to tabulate the bids and have
ready for the next meeting.
The Commmission unanimously agreed to trait until Commissioner Jones returns before
further discussion on the additions to the sc^rage treatment plant.
The Commission instructed the City Clerk to arrange a meeting for than with Rex D.
Cross, representative of the San Antonio Pipe and Supply Company for July 23rd, at
5:30 P. I17., for discussion on equipment for the proposed water well.
The Commission unanimously approved Policy Sdo. 6 AC 8590, issued to IdIurrell A. Burg,
D. B. A, La Porte Taxicab Company.
I~Zotion by Burgin, second by Pfeiffer instructing the City Clerk to deduct :12.50 from
C. S. Dunhamts check for reason he t~ras off on vacation and Firemen~s School.
Carried.
The Co~:unission unanimously instructed the City Clerk to charge one-half of ice bill
to the Fire Department, and one-half to General Cont,~ol.

I~~lotion by Hurgin, second by Pfeiffer, instructi~°~g the City Clerk to .mite a letter
to Chas. S. Dunham, informing him that he had been placed in charge of the gasoline
ptnnp i.n the rear of the City Hall.
This pump to be used by the Fire Department only, with the following exceptions:
Chief of Police ~a3~ixer Roberson and Plight a7atchman John Champagne can procure
gasoline from Chas. Dunham by signing book tisrhi.ch ~^rill be supplied to him. Fire
Chief J. 0. Rollins is allov+red five (5) gallons of gas each week gratis; he is,
hovrever, to sign book so Iylr, Dunham trill balance out. Gasoline pump to be opened
only bettireen the hours of 8:00 0' clock A It~I., and 5:00 0' clock P. PSI. Only excep-
tion to this is in case of fire ts~ucks r_eedin.g refueling.

I~1r. Rex D. Cross, representative of the San ~~ntonio Pipe and Supply Company, appear-
ed before the Commission for discussion on ~~']'ater fiifell equ.i.pment for the proposed
grater 'Nell. R,ir. Cross stated he was sure he could deliver one - 100 H. P. Motor
3 Phase 60 Cycle - 220/I~.O - 1760 R. P. T~., for an approximate figure of 5,6.5.00
from 10 to 15 days; also the City could take an option to purchase 1 - '~.Jl~.O Volt
100 H. P. reduced voltage magnetic type starter at X875.00, all of this vn~uld be
verified by (Cross) in the morning by 10:00 0' clock A, hd.
Lotion by Burgin, second by Pfeiffer, authorizing the City Clerk to issue purchase
order for this equipment ti,rhen verified to price and delivery date.
Carried.
