R4otion by Burgin, second by Jones, authorizing the M~ or to execute contract of A. C. Merchant Electric Company, in accordance with motion made December 20, 1951. Carried. Motion b~ Jones, second by Burgin, authorizing the City Clerk to issue a check to Niles Construction Companry, Inc., in the amovsrt of yp29.1,3, for repairing fire hydrant and cat,l t~; n~ blow hole in 6" x 6" CIT, on Sixth Street. Carried. The City Clerk read a letter to the Commission from the La Porte Volunteer Fire Department, i.n which they requested improvements made from Alley on "A~' Street, to Second Street. The Commission was in favor of this improvement if land avvners adjacent to this part of the street paid their pro-rata share. Lotion by Jones, second by Burgin, setting one hour parking limit on Second Street, from Main to '~A" Street. Carried. The City Clerk was instructed to obtain an agreement from Geo. Sharp, Sr., that on demand he would pay for curb sxid gutter adjacent to Lot 6, Block 38, La- Porte, at X1.50 per lineal foot, before commencing construction on curb and gutter on this street. 557 Rrfotion by Burgin: second by Jones that the meeting adjourn.
