Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor M. D.
Burgin, vrith the following meters and city officials present: Commissioners
L, R, Rigby and Robert A.Y"Thite, and City ~'lerls J. E. Muldoon.
After a lengthy discussion upon the appointment of a City Recorder and a
City Attorney, upon motion by ~'Vhite, second by Rigby, to appoint John R.
Eckhardt, City Recorder, at a salary of X50.00 per month, same being paid
monthly.
Carri ed.
Mayor Burgin requested their choice for City Attorney. A motion was made
by Rigby, second by TJThite, to appoint Edward J. Cade, City Attorney, at a
salary of X150.00 per month, same being paid monthly.
Carried.
The Mayor stated so not to delay this matter further, and as John R. Eckhardt
and Edward J. Cade were their choice, he appointed John R. Eckhardt, City
Recorder, arr]. F,chvard J. Cade, City Attorney, far salaries stipulated in
motions.
H~.s action in these appointments was unanimously approved by the Commission.
The Commission instructed the City Clerk to order Surety Bonds in the amount
of X1000.00, fcr each, and have the Oath of Office administered to each.
Motion by ~~hi.te, secorxi by Rigby, to purchase all gasoline and Diesel oil
from Edward J. Martin, Agent for the Magnolia Petroleum Company.
Carried.
