Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by 2~ayor I~. D.
Burgin, with the following members and city officials present: Commissioners
L. R. Rigby ar~d Robert A;lThite, City Attorney Edward J. Cade, Ernest A. Knipp,
Special Counsel, and City Clerk J. E, P~Iuldoon.
This meeting was held to familiarize the newly elected Commission ti~rith the
status of pending litigat3.on in Cause No. 391,299, styled State of Texas, et a1,
vs. City of La Porte, et a1, and also their views on this matter.
After a lengthy discussion with Iar. E. A. Knipp, Special Counsel representing
the City of La Porte in this matter, upon motion by mU'hi.te, second by Rigby,
the meeting adjourned.
Carried.
