Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by ~Iayar~ I.I.D. Burgin, with
the follovri.ng members and city officials present : Commissioners L. R. Rigby aril. Robert
A. Z't~hi,.te, Supt, cf Public 1~`orl:s tip. A. Arthur, City Attorney Edgard J. Cade, arri City
Clerk J. E, I~,Iuldoon.
I+~inutes of the last meetir~; were read and approved.
L7r, E. E. Roznovak and B. Cz, l~iabry appeared before the Commission and asked for price
to dunp garbage which they proposed to pick up from Seabrook to the city limit line
of La Porte, at the city's garbage grounds.
The Comt~i.ssion advised these gentlemen that they would consider this proposition
as~d, give them a price as soon as they talked to their Public ~'dorks Superir3tendent.
(Vl. A. Arthur had not yet arrived far the meeting at this time.l
A discussion was held on a By--Pass street around La Porte from the La Porte-Baytvcm
Tunnel.. This matter was handed to Comm_i.ssion~s F~.gby and ;r~Zi.te far study.
~r~. W. A. Arthur came into the meeti ng at this time.
A~2`ter some discussion, it eras unani~cously agreed to let a contract to B. G. Wabry
arr1 E. E. Roznovak for use of the garbage disposal grounds for the following con-
sideration: X20.00 foot the first 300 homes, same also being the minimum charge
per month; X5.00 for each additional 100 homes or part of 100, per month.

to purchase four appropriate "t'darning of Danger" signs for the Surer Disposal Plant,

Motion by Rigby second by ~.~iite, authorizing Wm. A. Stabs, Jr., to build a chlor-
inator for No. ~ tiATater Well, for ~>35.~.
Carried.
The Commission voted unanimously to grant the Fraternal Order of Eagles permission
to hold their annual turkey shoot off East Main Street, Tander the supervision of the
Fire Pdarshall and Police Chief.

A discussion was held on the proposed Street and Building Bond Issue, also prices
for several types of streets, policy of collection, etc.
It was the consensus of opinion of the Commission that they should call the election
in the early part of December, 1952, however, before issuing an election order, they
would consult vrith their Bond Adviser, ~Tr. Et^nest L. Brown, Jr.

The Commission unarLimously instructed the City Clerk to ~rrite The garpark Corpora-
tion, and request them to cancel agreement made the 28th day of October, 1950, for
30 Automatic Parking Meters.
Carried.
The Mayor read a letter from Dr. J. D. uwanson, Iraan, Texas, voho was inquiring
about the possibilities of La Porte.
The Commission instructed the City Clerk to ansv~er letter and file.
The Commission authorized the City Clerk to naive the interest for thirty days on
the unpaid bal~ces on contracts executed in March, lgltg, on sewer contracts in
Block 69, Bay Frent Addition, and. if not paid within the t hirty days, interest
to return to itts original status.
