Supt. of Public V~orks ~. A. Arthur, Special Counsel Jno. S. Kiibler, Architects and Engineers„ Alwyn S. Kodh]~r and Mr. Miller, and City Clerk J.E. Muldoon. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. , The Mayor ordered., the City Clerk to open the bids on the Sanitary Sewer Extensions, Job No, l~713, January, 1955, and hand to Mr. Koehler and ~. Motion by Pfeiffer, second by Rigby, to award contract 'to Jesse's Plumbing Compares in the amount of X345.00, to furnish and install 460 feet of b" sewer 13ne and add fifty cents per riser, in Block 130, La Porte, and add seventy-five cents per lineal foot on all line over 460 feet, plus X2.50 per ~init for inspection fee. City of La Porte Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bands, Series 1949, dated March 15, 1949, bowls Nos. 1 through 8 inclusive, each in the amount of $1,000.00. City of La Porte Water System Refunding Bonds Nos. 1 through 8, inclusive, dated October 10, 1946, each in the amount of X1,000.00. Carried. The Commission unanimously authorized the placement of street lamps at the following lac ations 1. S. First & D 2. S. First & F 3. N. 10th & Polk 4. N. 11th & Adams 5. Holmes & Roscoe 6. San Jacinto & D 7. San Jacinto & E Carried. Motion by Pfeiffers second by Rigby, authorizing th e City Clerk to pay the X10, 000.00 Tax Note at the First Natiional Bank of La Porte, Texas, plus interest. Carried. The Commission unanimousl y instructed Special Counsel Jno. S. Ki-ibler to draw up necessary instruments to place three unpaid paving liens on Highway 1116 on record. The City Clerk handed the Commission the Houston Lighting & Poorer Company's check No. 52?~, in the amount of X2,284.29, in payment of 2~ of company's annual gross receipts for the ye ar 195Lt. After much discussion, the Commission instructed the Mayor aid City Clerk to contact Mr. E. Arth~ Conning, Manager, La Porte Division of the Houston Lighting & Power Company, and find out why the gross receipts were 1QSS this Yeaz'• The Co~ni.ssion instructed the City Clerk to coat act A. B . Moare,Engineer, and request him to cant act Ba1eo, Inc., in connection with making repairs to the city streets. Motion by Pfeiffer, second by Rigby, that the meeting adjourn. Carried.
