MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING
IAA PORTE CITY COMf~SSION - MAY 13TH, 1955

Special meeting of the City Commission Ras called to ar~der by Mayo M. D. Bur-
gin, with the following members and city officials present: Commissioners
L. R, Rigby wad H. P. Pfeiffer, and City Clerk J. E. Muldoon.
Ernest B. Chandler verbally resigned frown t he office of Police Chief, and
asked to be relieved as soon as possible.
The Commission unanimously accepted his verbal resignation.
The office ~ Chief of Police was declared vacant.
The Commission authorized the City Clerk to give Ernest B, Chandler a check
for X85.50, for 9 days work.
Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, to appoint ~fm. Henry Rose as Chief of
Police, to take office immediately, at a salary of X285.00 per month.
Carried.
Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, that the meeting ai3ourn.
Carried.
