Special meeting of -fie City Commission was called to ar~der by Mayor Protem L. R.
Rigby With the following members arri city officials present: Commissioner H. P.
Pfeiffer, Special Counsel John S, Kiibler, and City Clerk Frank G. Bauer.
Also present were Chas. Brown, representing Hedrick, Lindsay and Lightfoot,
Engineers, and Cliff I-~yde.
Motion by Pfeiffer, second. by Rigby that contract f ~ resurfacing Northwest-
Southeast runway at La Porte Municipal Airport be awarded to the firm of
Walter A. Smith Paving Contractors, Inc., on their low bid of X36,219.65, sub-
ject to approval of C. A. A.
Carried,
Motion by Pfeiffer, second by Rigby that 8hilstone Testing I,a~aoratories be
be selected to make compaction tests arxi asphalt control tests.
Carried.
Motion by Pfeiffer, second by Rigby that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
