H. P. Pfeiffer Rith the folloodng present:- Coamni.ssioner L.R. Rigby, Special
Counsel John S. Kiibler, Supt. W.A.Arthux, and City Clerk Frank G. Baker,
Also present Were Lois Compton, Ernabeth FGxWarth, Geo. Bathes, Mr. Chas.
Brun, Charles G, Gribble, Jr., and Gera]~d Veltman.
Minutes of the last meeting Rere read and approved.
Mrs. Compton. discussed the Welfare condition in La Porte with the Commission.
A meeting With the La Porte Welfare group Ras suggested at an ear]g- date Kith
the Mab*or Pro-tem.
Mrs. Fox~orth requested City to approve traffic signs on 8th Street Wbich ~c'ill
be installed by County if approval by City is granted. Mayor Pro-tam Pfeiffer
suggested that he be given time to talk to Mr. Syle Chapman.
Mr. Bethea discussed the possibility of se~rerage to Blmcks 332, 333, ~ 334
in La Porte, on Which he has an option and plans to develop. Mayor Pro-test
Pfeiffer asked for mare time to check depths.
Motion by Rigby second by Pfeiffer, that La Porte volunteer Fire Department
insurance be ordered renewed.
Carried.
_ Mr. Veltman discussed taxes and interest and .penalty cn~ed by t ~ R. D.
9 Gribble Estate on properties located in La Porte. A par~tion of interest
atri penalty Was requested to be reduced by one half.
Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer that Ordinance No. 527 be a~fiopted as
read. The caption of such adopted Ordinance reads as folloRS:
