MINUTES - RF~ULAR MEETING
LA PORTE CITY CO~CSSION -MARCH 21, 1958

Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tem
H. P. Pfeiffer, with the following present: Commissioner L. R. Rigby, Special
Counsel John S. Kiibler, and City Clerk Frank G. Baker.
Also presez~'vras Mrs. Stabs (Press).
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, that the following Resolution be adopted:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of La Porte, on April 25, A.D. 1950, filed a
certain notice of assessment for stf~eet improvements a ainst Blocks No.
One Hundred and Ninety-Nine (199) and Two Hundred (200 of the Torn of
La Porte, Harris County, Texas, such notice being filed under Harris
County Clerks s F3,1e No. 736l~36; and
WI~EAS, the City of La Porte has not constructed the street
improvements described in said notice a.nd does not intend to construct such
improvements; and
W~REAS, the City does not have or claim arty indebtedness and/or
paving lien against said property;

CITY ~' LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT H. P. PFEIFFER, and Frank G. Baker, Mayor
Pro-Tem and City Clerk of said City, respectively, be, and they are
hereby, authorized and directed to execute, acknowledge, and have re-
corded in the office of the County Clerk of Harris County, Texas, an
instrument releasing any and all rights, titles, interests and/or
claims z+rhich the City may have heretofore had under aril by virtue of the
hereinab~ve ment9_oned notice of assessment for street improvement.
AND IT IS SO ORDF~RED.
A registered letter was requested to be written to Caleb Ashlock, advising
him that wooden material on roof of building on Main Street must be covered
with metal.
Motion by Rigby, second by Pfeiffer, that Ordinazyce No. 533, be adopted as
read. The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows:

Carried.
