Pfeiffer, with then following Catmtti.ssiot~rs pr®sent: Lawler, Boyle, Brown
and Osburri. Also, W. A. Arthur, Supt. of Public Woks, and Frank Baker,
City Clerk.
Also present was Jim Holly (Press).
I+~i.nutes of the last meeting were rEe.ad and approved.
Carried.
Motion by Osborn, second by Boyle, that large Caterpillar Grader be added to
liability policy with La Porte Insurance ,!lgency.
Carried.
Motion by Boyle, second by Brown, to proceed with salary adjustment far all
city employees, retroactive to July 1, 195$, and to set up a contingent fund.
Carried.
Commissioner Lawler was appointed to check with Zoning Comltd.ssion as to their
requirements and report back at next meeting.
Mayor Pfeiffer will check with James Stewart as to price on lease on Lots
otx 4th Street, and report back at next tweeting.
Motion by Osborn, second by Lawler, that letter be sent to all churches that
no charge wil]. be made for permits, but that permits ~ail.l be required and
that all city ordinances will be Enforced.
Carried.
Motion by Osborn, seconFl by Lawler, that meeting be recessed until Friday,
September 26th, 1958.
Carried.

The City Coaamission of the City of La Porte reconvened this date, at the City
Hall, at 7:00 P. M., with the following present: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, Comm-
issioners Boyle, Osborn, Braun and Lawler, City Clerk Frank G. Bataer, Special
Counsel Jno. S. Ki3bler, and Supt. W.A. Arthur.
Motion by Lawler, second by Osborn, that 1958-1959 Budget, in the amount of
~2~5,556.37, be adopted.
