No action was taken by the Cca~.ission at this time, Itlotion by Proven, second by Lawler, that the meeting be recessed until 2:00 P, ~., Ivlonday, December 22nd, 1958. Carried. I~.._.J DECEMBER 22, 1958 2:00 P. M. The regular meetir~ of the La Porte City Commission, recessed from December 19, 1958, to 2;00 P. M., December 22, 1958, was reconvened with the follc~^ring members present: Mayor Pfeiffer, Comn3.ssior~ers Boyle, Brovm, La~1er and Osborn, City Clerk Frank G, Baker and Special Counsel Jno.S, Kiibler, Sr, Also present were Jim Holly (Press) and :attorney Jno. S. Kiibler, Jr. Mayor Pfeiffer introduced an ar~dinance which was read in full, same being Ordinance No. 558 as amended. Commissioner Brawn made a motion that the amended ordinance be passed. Commissioner Lawler seconded the motion, The motion, carrying with it the passage of the mended ordinance, prevailed by the folloaaing vote: AYES: Comunissioner Boyle, Commissioner Broom, Commissioner Lawler, Commissioner Osborn, aril Mayor Pfeiffer. NOES: None. OF SAID CITY; AND PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAIISE. Mayor Pfeiffer introduced a resolution authorizing and instructing H. P. Pfeiffer, Mayor of tie City of La Porte, and Era: k G. Baker, City Clerk of the City of La Porten to execute and deliver on behalf of the City of La Porte, a contract vrith E, I. du Pont de Nemours & Company, Celanese Corporation of America, Nationa]_ Petro-Chamica]+s Corporation, Houston L ghting R~ Power Company, axxi Phillips Petrol- eum Company a copy o~ such resolution being marked "Exhibit A", and attached to these minutes, commissioner Lawler made a motion that the resolution be adopted as read. Commissioner Osborn secorxied the motion, which was carried by the follovri.ng vote: AYES: Commissioner Boyle, Conmissioner Brown, Commissioner Lawler, Commissioner Osborn and Mayor Pfeiffer.
