Pfeiffer, with the fallowing members present: Commissioners Osborn, Brown, Lawler and Boyle, Special Counsel Jno.S. Kiibler, and City Clerk Frank G. Baker. Als® present were ?~?endell Wilkes, Millard L®ng, Jim Holley (Press), Nels®n Louris, and Curtis Morris and Carlos Smith, representing Vlyatt C.Hedrick. T.Zinutes o£ the previous meeting were read and approved. Carried. Motion by Boyle, second by Osborn, that Mayor be authorized to purchase police uniforms, at a cost of apprmx9mately X250.00. Carried. Mayor Pfeiffer presented the 1958-1959 budget to the Commission. After some discussion, a motion was made by Osborn, seconded by Brc~nrn, that the 1958-59 budget be adopted and approved, and a public hearing be held on June 19th, 1959, at 7:00 P. P,~. 'Carried. ~.gotion by Osborn, second by Law1P.r, that Ordinance No. 567 be adopted as read. The caption of such adopted ordinance reads. as follows; AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING T'rIE RATES, SEES AND CHARGES FORVtATER AND SEPTI{R SERVICE BY TIC CITY TO CONSU~:!IERS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE LI~'QTS OF THE CITY OF LA PONE, TEXAS; PRESCRIBING THE TII~~E FOR PA~4FNT THD3.EOF; PROVIDIPJG FdR TFN PF~R CENT (lob) DISCOUNT ~R P130~ZPT PAYb+~TT OF BILL. Carrieel. Commissi®ner Boyle presented a proposal for a swimming pool to cost ~~.3,750. After much discussion, motion by Brown, second by Osborn, that bond issue all ec ations remain as discussed on June 1, 1959. They are as follows Fire Department, X73,000, Recreation, X32,000, City Hall, X15,000, Streets and Drainage, X395,000, a total of X515,000.00. Carried. ~`, Mr. Carlos Smith presented contract and specifications on 10,000 BBL.ground storage tank. ~~~~1 Motion by Osborn, second by Broom, that Engineer Hedrick be authorized to ask for bids fora 10,000 BBL. ground storage tank, bids to be opened July 3, 1959. Ccxnmissioner Brmwn asked Attorney Kiibler about re-routing trucks, Attorney Kiibler suggested that a survey be made and at that time an ordinance could be dram to re-route the trucks. Motion by Boyle, second by Lawler, that Street Commissioner be authorized to purchase oil for streets. Carried. C~nmissioner Boyle stated that he is ready to turn the Police radi® over to Commissioner Lawler, Saturday, June 6th, 1959.
