LA POF~TE CITY CO~~ISSION -NOV. 6TH, 1959
7:00 P. M.
Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to ~ der by Mayor H.P. Pfeiffer,
with the following members present: Commissioners Brown, Boyle, Osburn and Lavrler,
Special Counsel. Jno. S. Itiibler, Supt. ~. A. Arthur, and City Clerk Frank G. Baker.
Minutes of the last meetirk; were read and approved.
Carried.
Also present vrere Frank Hoot, Curtis Morris, Mr. Haldridge, Mx'. aril dirs. Kenneth
H. Baird, Mr. and Iu~`rs. E. de Los Santos, Jr., and Mrs. 'F. J. Mc Nellie.
The a Bove group discussed the possibility of city participation on a seawall
along the water front in the area of Sylvan Street and Forest Street. The City's
part would be the street area. The Commission asked that they be given until
the next regular meeting to aaswer.
The Engineers presented plans and specifications on City Hall and Fire Station.
Motion by Lawler, second by Brown, that City accept plans on City Hall and Fire
Station as presented.
Carried.
Motion by Osburn, second by Boyle, that Commissioner Osburn be authorized to
employ Jim Counts for a survey on corner of I and Arizona, and B and Arizona
Streets.
Carried. •
Mayor Pfeiffer discussed the release of c ertain information pertaining to Police
reports on accidents. Motion by Lawler, second by ~®burn, that City Clerk be
authorized to~issue Police reports when request is •authorize~~by participants,
a fee of X2.00 to be charged for copy of each report.
Carried.
The letter from Mr. Paul ~`d. ~'tomnack in regard to closing alleys in Blocks 1110
and 1123 in La Porte, was referred to Attorney Kiibler for reply,
Motion by Brovrn, second by Lawler, that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
