LA PORTE CITY COI~fISSION -MARCH 23, 1960
6:00 P.M,
Special meeting of the City Commission was calleal to order by Mayo H. P.
Pfeiffer, with the following members present: Commissioners Brown, Boyle,
Osburn and Lawler, Attorney Pitman and City Clerk Baker.
Also present were Al Koehler, Carlos Smith and George and Tony Caliva.
Motion by Lawler, second by Osburn, that the applicant's affidavit as
submitted by Attorney Pitman, be adopted. All Commissioners voted "yea"
except Commissioner Boyle, who voted "no", Also give each applicant a
copy of City Charter. Commissioner Boyle voted "no" because of last
minute presentation.
Carried.
Mayor Pfeiffer asked Mr.Carlos Smith to present tabulations on storm
sewer and pavir_g bids.
Motion by Brown, second by Lawler, that the Century Construction Company
be awarded the contract for paving and storm sewers, as per bid submitted
March 18, 1960, and that Mayor and Secretary be authorized to sign anal
execute contract.
Carried.
Motion by Boyle, second by Osburn, that. the Engineer's fee of ~11~,826.85,
be paid.
Carried.
Motion by Boyle, second by Brown, that weekly indemnity insurance be paid
to employees.
Carried.
Motion by Lawler, second by Brown, that the meeting adjourn.
