Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by h?ayor H. P. Pfeiffer, with the following members present: Commissioners Brown, Boyle, Lawler and Osborn, City Attorney Pitman and City Clerk Frank G. Baker. Also present zrrere Rev. Bob Thompson, Joe Dunhar,: and Doug Bcyle. Mayor Pfeiffer asked R.ev. Bob Thompson to Dive the invocation before opening the meeting. I~~otion by L~r,~ler, second by Boyle, tti~at election returns be canvassed. fl~iayor Pfeiffer stated that tree results of the election had been carefully checked by the election Judge and clerks, and asked the City Clerk if he could certify that he also had checked tre results of the election with the Judge and clerks. S"V.A. Stabs elected. to the offices of Commissioners for a. term of two years, and Dennis Dunham and Odell Brown elected to the offices of Commissioners for a term of one year. They also declared the Charter Amendment unanimously approved. C~ ~~ A~otion by Osborn, second by T3rovvn, that Ordinance DTo. 583, be adopted as read. The caption of such adopted Ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE DECLAT~ITu~s THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTIOPI I-I~,jLD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTS' ON THE ~URTH TUESDAY IN APRIL, 1960.
