7:00 P. M.
Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by D2ayor H. P.
Pfeiffer, with the following members present : Commissioners Brown, Stabs,
Osbuxn and Dunham absent, City Attorney Pitman, Supt. W.A. Arthur, ~d City
Clerk Wank G, Baker.
Also present were Mr, Marsh and Jim Holley (Press).
Minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read and approved.
Carried.
r.Rotion by Stabs, second by Brown, that Mr. M. N. Weir be employed to paint the
new City Ha11,
Carried.
L+2yor Pfeiffer asked that the bids on the fire hose be opened. The Secretary
opened the bid of Eureka `ire Hose, this being the only bid, Their b id v~ras
as follows

notion by Stabs, second bar Brown, that the bid of Eureka `ire Hose be accepted,
delivery to be July 11, 1960.
Carried.
Mayor Pfeiffer asked Mr. Carlos ~nith to present the extras as presented by
Isfir, Victory on the bathhouse.
Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that the City pay the Roberson (Inizite Company
the sum of $12,752,55, as Estimate No. 2.
Carried.
The gi estion of Mr, Leach having to stay in the garage apartment when he had
purchased a home at Sylvan Beach, was discussed as to extra pay, Commissioner
Stabs will cor_tact the Commissioners that are absent and report back,
IiQotion by Stabs, second by Brown, that Delbert ti~Talker be allowed 1 day extra
pay for hauling tiaater on his day off, to La Porte Terrace.
Carried.
'~, Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that funds be allowed to send two men to factory
to drive back fire truck front Lansing, Michigan.
Carried.

Motion by Brown, second by Stabs, that Barry Kerr be e mployed as Lifeguard
at $1.25 per hour, and James Graham be employed as basket boy at x.60¢ per
hour,
Carried.
Motion by Brown, second by Stabs, that the installation of new filter rock
in present ~r conditioning unit, be allowed Moore - X25.00.
Carried.
Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that the account of Attorney Pitman in the
amount of X75.00 for extra services, be allowed.
Carried.
Motion by Brawn, second by Stabs, that Commissioner Stabs be authorized to
appoint a committee to work on a survey of traffic.
Carried.
Motion by Brown, second by Stabs, that the action of Supt. l~.rthur in discharging
Imo. Sparks, be ratified.
Carried.
Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that the meeting adjourn.
