Bllayor Pfeiffer called the special meeting to order with the following Comm-
issioners present: Dunham, Brown, Stabs and Osburn, Supt. VP.A.Arthur, Attorney
Pi~anan and City Clerk Frank G. Baker.
Motion by Osburn, second by Brown, that all churches shall be charged •$3.00
per month, 'and the La Porte Independent School District X35.00 per month,
as a garbage fee, and that bills be mailed monthly, effective July 1st, 1960.
Carried.
~dotion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that Ordinance No. 58g~, be adopted as read.
The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows:

btotion by Osburn, second by Dunham, that the foliaP~ri.ng; Resolution be adopted:
for convenience of collection, it is provided that this charge shall
be added to the monthly water bills prepared and mailed by the City Water
Department and collection of said charge shallbe made by the Department.
The owner of each residence or dwelling from which garbage and refuse is
so collected by the City shall pay the charge therefor at t he time of pay-
ment of the month],y water bill covering service to such residence or dwell-
ing. After such charge has been made, employees of the Oity shall not
accept payment of the monthly water bill from arty such owner of residence
without collecting the full amount of said bill including the garbage
collection charge.

The purchase of a tractar~ dozer was discussed at length. It was decided to w2_it
until a later date and discuss this item again.
Motion by Osbtxrn, second by Broom, that the neeting adjourn.
Carried.
