LA PORTE CITY CO?~4ISSION -JULY 5TH , 1960
8:00 P. M.
Special rseeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. P.
Pfeiffer, with the followinJ members present: Commissioners Stabs, Brown,
and Dunham, Attorney Pitman and City Clerk Baker.
A~.~o present were the following: Robert Breaker, Albert E. Cleere, E. S.
Porter., Jr,, C. L. 1levity, Earl W. Oorley, Robert I!ti.llwee, S.R. Bru.nmerhop,
P. ~T. Brown and C, K, Gale, Jr.
This group appeared before the City Commission to request that the City
consider releasing a certain area in Seabrook, so that they could incor-
porate. Mr, Cleere stated that he was not in a position to say whether
it was good or bad to be in the City of La Porte, Mr.Porter also expressed
about the same feelings, and offered any information they posses~eecy that
would benefit La Porte.
Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that Ordinance No. 589 be adopted as
read, The caption of such adopted ordinance reads as follows:
AN Cf~DIlVANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY
LYING WITHIN BLOCK 165, IN THE T04"~iN 0~' LA PO RTE.
Carried.
Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that t he meeting adjourn.
Carried.
