MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING
LA PORTE CITY COI~SSION - OCTOBER I~TH, 1960
Mayor Pfeiffer called the special meeting to order with the following
members present: Commissioners Stabs, Dunham, Osborn, City Clerk Baker
and Auditor Bill Bynum.
Mr. Bynum staxted the meeting by starting at the first of the financial
statement that was issued by Trotter at the end of August.
Motion by Stabs, second by Osborn, that X50,000.00 from the Interest and
Sinking Fund be invested in either gov a rnment bonds or time deposit at
the First State Bank of La Porte.
Carried.
Motion by Osborn, second by Stabs, that the City Secretary be allowed
to pur chase two new Royal Typewriters, for X440.25.
Carried.
Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that Ordinance No. 620, be adopted as
read. The caption of such adopted Ordinance reads as follows:
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR ZONING REGULATIONS AND USE
DISTRICTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, WHICH,
TOGETH"R WITH THE ZONING MAP, SHALL CONSTITUTE THE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; PROVIDING FOR
A PENALTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Carried.
Motion by Osborn, second by Stabs, that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
