Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, with the following members present: Cos~issioners Brown, Stabs, & Dunham (Osburn absent due to work), Supt. W.A.Arthur, Attorney C. L, Pitman and City Clerk Frank G. Baker. Also present were Mr. Cunningham with Century, Joe Camp, and Mrs, Brummerhop and Jim Holley (Press). Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved, Carried. Mayor Pfeiffer asked that the bids on police car be opened. Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that the bids be turned over to Comte issioner Stabs for tabulation. Carried. The bids were as follows: Gunn Mc Dougal Allowance Trade In Jay Marks Allowance Trade In Joe Camp Motors Allowance Trade In X2,217.50 400.00 _ 1, i .50 X2,408.27 _ 375.00 ~'F, 0337 X2,388.78 435.00 ~~,9 3.7 Mr. Cunningham talked to the Commission in regard to settlement of paving contract, 6u Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that the purchase of pump for sewer disposal plant, be ratified, X533.00. Carried. Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that Merle Thomas be employed for a 90 day period. As Police Patr®]snan~ salary to be ~ 325.00 per. Month. Carried, • • Motion by Brown, second by Stabs, that Commissioner Stabs be authorized to purchase hose dryer from Alex Birkmeyer for $695.00, plus freight, approx- imately $50.00. Carried. Commissioner Brown dis cussed the item of lowering the sidewalk on Main Street, from 2nd to Lowe's Grocery, also in front of Shannon Building, paint curb after repairs are made. Commissioner Brown was authorized to proceed with above repairs. Motion by Brown, second by Stabs, that Robert W. Stevenson be reimbursed by the City in the amount of X13.50 for shell is drive. Carried. Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that the Commission endorse the action ©f Attorney Pitman dealing with Gulf Automatic Sprinkler. Carried. Motion by Dunham, second by Stabs, that the service policy on Burroughs, be bought for one year, effective 12-22-1960. Carried. Motion by Stabs, second by Dunham, that the meeting adjourn (8:1,5 P.
