7:00 P. M.
Regular meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H. P.
Pfeiffer, with the following members present : Commissioners Dunham,
Stabs and Brown (Osburn absent), City Attorney Pitman, and City Clerk Frank
G. Baker,
Also present was Jim Holley (Press).
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Carried,
Mayor Pfeiffer asked Commissioner Brown to contact Mr. Carlos Smith, and
see if they could close out Century Construction Company.
The Mayor presented the 1961-62 Budget. Motion by Brown, second by Dunham,
that the Public Hearing on proposed budget be held on June 16, :1961, at
7:00 P, M,
Carried.
City Attorney Pitman presented and explained the suit that the City of
Houston has filed against Pasadena and La Porte.
City Attorney Pitman asked permission of the Commission to contact the City
Attorney of Pasadena and dis cuss the suit. Permission was granted.
The Commission dis cussed the ifiem that was brought before them pertaining
to a local C. P. A. employment.
Motion by Broom, second by Dunham, that the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
