LA FORTE CITY COMMISSION • DECEMBER 1, 1961
7:00 P. M.
Regular meeting of the City Comtn3.ssion was called to order by Mayor Pro-Ten
W~ A. Stabs, Jr., with the following members present: Conenissioners Brown,
Osborn and Dunham, Supt. W~ A. Arthur, City A ttorney C. L. Pitman, anti City
Clerk Frank G. Baker.
Also present Mrs. Brummerhop and Mike Clark (Press), and M'r. Brummerhop.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Carried.
Motion by Stabs, second by Osborn, that no action be takex at this time om the
application of tha Houston Natur al Gas Corporation for rate changes, which was
presented to the Commission on November 28, 1961, and that no action will be
taken until a full Comndssion is present.
Carried.
Motion by Brown, second by Osborn, that Commissioner Brown be authorized to
purchase 31t - 30" concrete tale ~ X5.00 each, from Mc Cure.
Carried.
Motion by Osborn, second by Brown, that the cost of #333.00 for rewinding 75
H. P. electric motor, be ratified.
Carried.
Motion by Osborn, second by Brown, that Commissioner Osbux~ be authorized to
spend approximately X600.00 to repair or pur chase a booster starter for #4
Well.
Carried.
City Attorney Pitman was authorized to proceed with closing out with Century
Construction Co.
A meeting was suggested for December 11th, for the purpose of the Coamaission
to discuss budget and other items.
Carried.
Motion by Dunham, second by Osborn, that the purchase of chain drive for
garbage truck, in the amount of #333.30, be ratified.
Carried.
Motion by Osburg, second by Brown, that
the meeting adjourn.
Carried.
