~ LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION - APRIL 30, 1962
7:00 P, M.
Special meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor H, P.
Pfeiffer, with the following members present: Commissioners Brown, Stabs,
and Osburn, Attorney Pitman, and City Clerk Baker.
Also present was Betty Willits;
The P4ayor read a letter of recommendation from the La Porte Planning and
Zoning Commission.
Motion by Osburn, second by Brown, that the City Commission accept the
recommendations set out by the Zoning Commission, and that public hearing
date on Block 1111 be set for May list, at 7:00 P. M,, and publication
be run three consecutive times in the La Porte Bayshore Sun, and notify
all property owners within 200 feet of Block 1111, La Porte.
Carried.
Motion by Osburn, second by Brown, that the recommendations of fine La Porte
Planning and Zoning Board of March 23rd, 1962, be accepted and to also
include all of Outlots 22, 23, 24, 2Z, 26, and 27 as F Industrial.
Carried.
Motion by Stabs, second by Brown, that Mr. Clovis D, Mann be employed as
City Clerk at a salary of X600.00 per month, plus $100.00 per month as
expense account, and to pay $400.00 on moving expenses.
Carried,
Motion by Osburn, second by Brown, that Mr. Carlos Smith be employed as
City Engineer at salary of X800.00 per month, plus 2~~ of new construction
in excess of X40,000, per fiscal year, per clarification of agreement as
to working conditions,
Carried.
Motion by Stabs, second by Osburn, that the meeting adjourn.
