MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING
of the
LA PORTE CITY COMMISSION OF LA PORTE, TEXAS
December 3, 1962 - 7:00 P.M.
MEMBERS OF COMMISSION PRESENT: Odell
Brown, Street Commissioner; Tom Osburn, Water
and Sewer Commissioner; Dennis Dunham, Health
and Recreation Commissioner.
MEMBERS OF COMMISSION ABSENT: Harold
P. Pfeiffer, Mayor; W. A. tabs, Jr., Police and
Fire Commissioner.
- OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Charles
L. Pitman, City ttorney; Clovis D. Mann, City
Clerk; Carlos Smith, City Engineer.
PRESIDING: Odell L. Brown, Mayor Pro-
Tem.
Invocation was given by Rev. Sigler,
Minister of the La Porte Community Church.
1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting on
November 19, 1962 were read and approved.
2. The following bids on the purchase
of two (2) pick-up trucks were opened.

Commissioner Osburn made a motion,
seconded by Commissioner Dunham that bids be tabled
for tabulation and study. Motion carried.

OPENING OF BIDS
ON PICK-UP TRUCKS
3. Commissioner Dunham made a motion,
seconded by Commissioner Osburn that the purchase
of a "Sign Face Applicator" machine, with necessary
supplies be authorized. Motion carried.
4. Motion was made by Commissioner
Osburn, and seconded by Commissioner Dunham, that
the City extend the sewer line approximately two
hundred (200) feet in Block 40, Bayfront Addition.
Motion carried.

5. Motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, DISCUSSION ON
seconded by Commissioner Dunham, that the additional LOUD SPEAKER PER-
information presented in regard to a request for a MIT (WILSON)
loudspeaker at Smitty's Drive-In, containing signatures
of four neighbors .approving the request, be referred
to Commissioner Stabs and to Chief Freeman for their
study. Motion carried.
There being no further business at hand,
the meeting was adjourned.
