Pfeiffer, ayor; Odell Brown, Street Commissioner; W. A. Stabs, Jr., Police and Fire Commissioner; Tom Osborn, Water and Sewer Commissioner. MEMBERS OF COMMISSION ABSENT: Dennis Dunham, Health x Recreation ommissioner. OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Clovis D. Mann, City Clerk; Carlos Smith, City Engineer. PRESIDING: H. P. Pfeiffer, Mayor. 47. 1. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Osborn, that Ordinance ~~o. 661, captioned: AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING A ABANDONING OF ALLEY PORTION OF THE ALLEYWAYS LYING WITHIN BLOCK 4'7 IN BLOCK l~7, L.P. IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, be passed. Motion carried. 2. Commissioner Stabs made a motio seconded by Commissioner Brown that the Mayor authorized to sign the following agreement on of the City, entered into betrween the City of and Mr. Jay Marks. The CITY O F LA PORTE having duly found through its C i t y Commission that the necessity of an Alleyway running North and South in Block 47 of the Town of La Porte no longer exists and by proper action has moved to close said Alleyway and JAY MARKS being t h e person most benefitted by the closing of said Alleyway, the s a i d JAY MARKS being the owner of all the property on either side of the closed portion of said Alleyway, has agreed and by these p r e s e n t s does agree to forever indemnify and hold harmless the said CITY OF LA PORTE from any loss that might occur as a result of the a c t i o n of the CITY OF LA PORTE in closing said Alleyway.
