Pfeiffer, Commissions Frank Baker, Tom Osburn, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and Russell Shepherd. MEMBERS OF COMMISSION ABSENTF• None OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Clovis D. Mann, City Clerk; C. L. Pttman, City Attorney; Carlos Smith, City Engineer; H. F. Freeman, Police Chief. PRESIDING: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer. Invocation was given by Revernd Oran L. Sigler, Minister of the La Porte Community Church. 1. Minutes of the Regular Meeting held on August 99, 1963 and the Special Meeting of August 22, 1963 were read and approved. * ~ 2. Mr. K. H. Baird, 508 Bolivar, Bellaire, Texas requested permission to build a Trailer Park on the west side of Block 157, Lots 1 through 16, to front on 1st Street, or as a possible alternative, to build on 16th Street, approximateCy befween Avenue "J" and Spencer Highway. Trailer Court to be designed and constructed according to specifications. The requesf was tabled for study. 3. Mr. Ross Walker, representing Untied Gas Corporation, appeared before the Commission on behalf of their request for a franchise to do business in the City of La Porte. 114. Mrs. Dan Kennedy appeared before the Commission REQUEST TO PAINT to request permission to paint the inside of the Community lP/SIDE CF COMMUNITY Building, at an approxtmate cost of two hundred dollars, BLDG. (.~ 200.00) . Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, seconded by Commtssioner Stabs, that authorization be granted. Motion carried. * * « • 5. Motion made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by Commtssioner Shepherd, that the following accounts payable be paid. Motion carried. Motion made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by APPROVAL OF P. 0. Commissioner Shepherd, that a Purchase Order to Garcon Meter TO GAMON METER DIV. Corporation, for approxtmately one hundred thirty-one dollars, (~ 939.00) be approved. Motion carried. * ~ 7. Commtssioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by POLICY TO CNARGE~ Commissioner Baker, that procedures be established to charge PROPERTY OWNERS FOR for any water used by property owners for clean-up purposes ~'/ATEr: USED 0,'V RENT between renters. ON dollars (,~ 900.00) per month from the City of Seabrook, for RADIO DISPATCHING. radio dispatching. Monies to be depostted to the General Fund. Motion carried. * * ~ 9. Motion made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by Commtssioner Osburn, that Mr. Herman Wilson Clark, be employed as a full time Fireman, at four hundred dollars (~ 400.00) per month, as a replacement for C. Motion made by Commissioner Baker, seconded BIDS OPENING POST- by Commissioner Osburn, that the date for receiving bids PONED TO 9-23-63. on Street Seal Coat scheduled for September 96, 1963 be changed to September 23, 1963.
