1. Commissioner Baker made a motion, seconded ORDINANCE NO. 682-A
by Commissioner Osburn, that Ordinance No. 682A be passed RE,°LACING 0. E3ROWN

AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF ODELL BROWN FROM C. MA',N

2. Mr. J. Ash, of Bernard Johnson Engineers, J. ASH GIVES REr=~ORT
presented a report to the City Commission of the Completion ON COPfPREHE^JS/VF_
of the Base Studies and Land Use Studies; portion of the PLANS
Comprehensive Master Pian preparation.

3. Mr. W. T. Carter presented a Preliminary
Plat of Section 2, Shady River sub-division, containing
four (4) blocks and sixty-seven (67) lots, a total of
27.47 acres. The City Planning and Zoning Commission
has approved the plat.
Commissioner Shepherd made a motion,
seconded by Commissioner Baker, that the Preliminary
Plat be approved. Motion carried.
4. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion,
seconded by Commissioner Baker, that Clovis D. Mann,
be appointed United Nattons Day Chairman for La Porte.
Motton carried.

5. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion,
seconded by Commissioner Osburn, that the rental of a
dozer for the dump ground at an approximate cost of
two hundred fifty-five dollars, (~ 255.00) be ratified.
Motion carried.

7. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, ORDINANCE N0. 689 -
seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that Ordinance No. 689, TRANSFER OF FUNDS,
be passed on first and final reading. Motion carried. PAY'T TO LAYNE-TEXAS

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM

(,~ 600.00) held in escrow from the Shell Oil Company CALLING DETECTOR AT
was received. Commissioner Shepherd made a motion, MAIN & TENTH
seconded by Commissioner Baker, that the amount be dis-
tributed as folCows in compliance with the request:
three hundred seventy-eight dollars and forty-nine cents,
(~ 378.49) to Texas Highway Department for installation
of a calling detector on the West frontage road of State
Highway 146 in front of the Shell Service Station on
90th and Main, and two hundred twenfy-one doZCars and
fifty cents (~ 229.59) be returned to Shell Oil Company.
