Pitman, City Attorney. PRESIDING: Mayor Pro-Tem W. A. Stabs, Jr. 1. Minutes of Reguler Meeting of November 25, 1963 and Hlinutes of Special Meeting of November 26, 1963 were read and appr®ved. 2. Corrmissioner Shepherd made oxation, sec®nded by Commissioner Baker, that Ordinance No. 620-C, permitting speciaC uses in the Commercial Zone presently existing on property facing North Broadway be appr®ved. Motion carried. Caption as foCZows: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 620 POPULARLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LA FORTE PERMITTING SPECIAL USES 1N THE COMNERC/AL ZONE PRESENTLY EXISTING ON PROPERTY FAC/NG NORTH BROADWAY WITHIN THE CITY OF LA f~RTE. * + ~ 3. Commissioner Baker made a m©tion, seconded by Commissi©ner Osburn, that the bid submitted by the La Porte Construction Company for certain remodelling of the water office f®r three hundred seventy-five dolZc.rs, ~,~ 375.00) be accepted and approved. The Commtssion was informed by the City Administrat®r that others had the opportuntty of bidding, but that no other bid had been received. Moti®n carried. • ~ + . . 137. 4. Following a discussion on procedures for accepttng partial payments on delinquent taxes, Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd fhat the City Attorney be instructed to prepare an ordinance per- mttttng the issuance of a Redemptton Receipt by the year, except that the oldest year must be paid first. No receipt will be tssued for a partial year, and no partial payment of delinquent taxes whatsoever will be accepted after suit is filed. Motion carried. 5. An ordinance, presented to the Commission, by Kiibler and Kiibler, abandoning and closing a; portion ®f "A" Street between 18th and 19th Streets, and between Block No. 691 and Block No. 714, and vacating and closing a portton of the sixteen (16) foot alley in Block 691,Commissioner Osborn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that the ordinance be tabled until the portton pertaining to "A" Street be corrected or clarified. Motion carried. 6. Mutton made by Commissioner Osborn, seconded by Commissioner Baker, that the invoice received from the Utility Supply Company, in the amount of four hundred ninety-seven dollars • and ftfty-cents ($ 497.50) be approved for pt~yment. Motion carried. ~ ~ 7. Commissioner Shepherd made a rnotton seconded by Commissioner Osborn, that Mrs. George Riley be permitted to use the Norfh Side Recreation Building for a Day Care Nursery, through December 10th, provided that the use of such building dtd not interfere wtth other regular uses of the building.
