Pfeiffer, Commissioners Tom Osborn, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and Russell Shepherd. COMM/SS/OIdERS ABSENT: Corrrnissioner Frank G. Baker. QTHERS PRESENT: H. Carlos Smith, City Engineer. PRESIDING: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer. The City C®mmission met upon call of the May®r to consider Bids received mn an Asphalt Distributor and quotations received on a Pneumatic Roller. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Osborn, that Carlos Smith serve as City Clerk for the purpose of taking minutes. Motion carried. (Re: Minutes, Aug. 17, 9964). Motion made by Commissioner Osborn, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that, based upon the recommendations of Carlos Smith, City Engineer, purchase of the Roller and Distrtbutor from R. B. Everett & Company, at ~ 4,956.00 be authorized. Motion carried. • • 218 Motion made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that the bids received on the Cement Asbestos pipe at the last meeting be rejected. This pipe was for a proposed highway crossing, which is being delayed due to information received from the State High~y Department. Mot ion canted. Motion made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that Bayshore Insulators of Baytown be authorized to insulate the City HaIZ at a cost of one hundred eighty-seven dollars and fifty cents, (~ 987.50).
