Pfeiffer, Commissioners Frank G. Baker and Tom Osborn. MEMBERS OF COMM/SS/ON ABSENT: Commissioners Russell Shepherd and W. A. Stabs, fir. OTHER CITY OFFlC1ALS PRESENT: C. L. Pttman, City Attorney; Carlos Smith, City Engineer; Mrs. Betty Willits, Assistant City Clerk. PRESIDING: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer. • 1. Motion was made by Frank Baker, Commissioner, seconded by Commtssioner Tom Osborn, that Mrs. Betty Willits serve as City Clerk for the purpose of taking minutes. Motion carried. ~ ~ « 2. Motion was made by Commissioner Baker, seconded ORDINANCE N0. 703 by Commissioner Osborn, that Ordinance No. 703 be passed on (CLOSING ALLEY IN first and final reading. Motion carried. Caption as follows: BL K. 306) AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY LYING WITHIN BLOCK 306, IN THE TOWN OF LA FORTE. 3. Motion was made by Commissioner Osborn, seconded APPROVAL PURCHASE by Commissi~~ner Baker, that Purchase Order No. 2041 be approved OF METER PARTS for the purchase of meter parts from Garcon Meter Division, amounting to one hundred three dollars and sixty-six, (~ 103.66). Motion carried. • 4. Motion was made by Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner Osborn, that Resolution No. 31-64, issuing ` "Special Revenu~'Note for the year of 1964" to the Al Braun Company for the purchase of a new air conditioners be approved. Motion was made by Commissioner Osborn, seconded ORDINANCE N0. 704 by Commissioner Baker, that Ordinance No. 704 be passed on first (REGULATING TRAFFIC and final reading. Motion carried. Caption as follows: AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS ON 6TH STREET IN THE CITY LIMITS OF LA FORTE, TEXAS: FIXING A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF ,~ 200.00; REPEALJNG ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. ~ ~ 6. City Attorney C. L. Pitman presented a statement AUTHORIZATION TO to the Commission for work on delinquent taxes, in the amount FAY STATEMENT F~40M of five hundred ninety-two dollars and fifty cents, (~ 592.50). PITMAN FOR TAX !NORK Motion was made by Commissioner Frank Baker, seconded by Commissioner Osborn, authorizing payment of same. Motion carried. Mayor Pfeiffer requested the City Attorney to prepare a detailed report on the progress of the Delinquent Tax program, to be presented in the near future. Attorney Pitman was also instructed to proceed with condemnation pro- ceedings on Lots 95, 16, and 97, Block 267, La Porte and a follow up on the Delinquent Tax Suit on Block 934, La Porte.
