Pfeiffer, Commissioners Russell Shepherd and Tom Osburn. MEMBERS OF CUMM/SS/ON ABSENT: Commissioners Frank G. Baker, and W. A. Stabs, Jr. OTHER C/TY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Attorney C. L. Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 28, 9964, were read and approved with the following amendment to Item No. 8, which was amended to read as follows: "Commtssioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, authorizing the accept- ance of bids on the purchase of two (2) chlor- inators, for Well No. 3 and Well Ne. 4. M®tion carried." MINUTES AMENDED RE: CHLORINATORS 2. Commtssioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by ACCOUNTS PAYABLE Commissioner Shepherd that the following accounts be approved AUTHOR/ZED for payment: Motion carried. Mobtl Oii Company $ 675.69 Houston Ltg. & Power 9,452.98 Machine Records, Inc. 9,043.50 ~ ~ 3. Commisstoner Shepherd made a motion, seconded ORDINANCE NO. 70~ by Commissioner Osburn, that Ordinance No. 706 be passed on (RE-APPOINTING J. first and final reading. Motion carried. Capfion as follows: OLIPN.ANT & D. 0. LAIRD TO ZONING COMM) AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING JACK OLIPNANT AND D. 0. LAIRD AS MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING CCiMMlSS/ON FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS. .J 231 4. Quotations were received from the following on two (2) chlorinators: Fischer & Porter Company ~ 1,855.00 Wallace & Tiernan, Inc. 1,808.00 The A. G. Bailey Co. 1,800.00 Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that purchase from Wallace & Tiernan, Inc., for one thousand eight hundred eight dollars, (,~ 1,808.00), be authorized and further that the necessary cost of installation, such as scabs, housing, wiring, etc., be approved. Motion carried. « * ~ OPENING OF BIDS ON (2) CHLORINATORS 5. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded AUTHORIZATION OF by Commissioner Shepherd, that the Water and Sewer Departments REFRESEN'TATIVE TO be authorized to send a representative to the Water Tech- WATER TECH. SCHOOL nology Course at Texas A. & M. College, at the City's AT A. &. M. expense. Motion carried. 6. The City Planning and Zoning Commission met ZONING COMrMISSION • with the City Commission for a study session on a proposed MEETS WITH CQMMISSION Zoning Ordinance Amendment, wherein certain changes were suggested. The subject of Trailer houses eras discussed at some length. It ,vas decided that if they were to be permitted outside of trailer parks, the Zoning Ordinance must specify TRhl.~-=lt the districts in which they tiarould be permitted.
