Notice to Bidders was published in the La Porte-Bayshore Sun, offictal newspaper of the City of La Porte on November 99th and November 26th, 9964. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by C©mmissioner Shepherd, that the low bid of Joe Camp Motors on the Police Patrol Car be accepted, and that the City Clerk be authorized to tssue Purchase Order for the car. Mot ion canted. * ~ ~ 3. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that action on the remaining bids be tabled so that study of the bids could be made before awarding contract on the purchase. Motion carried. 4. A request from Mr. F. E. Westergren, Jr., to rezone certain property known as the"Mtnchen Property", bordering Sylvan Beach, from Class rrA-r Single Family Dwelling District to Class "E" Apartment Buildings, Duplexes and/or any other Multiple Dwelling District was presented. The exact legal description of the Minchen Property with reference to the above, is attached to these Minutes as Exhibit "A". Commtssioner Baker made a motton, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that a Public Hearing be called for 7:00 p.m., December 28, 9964 for the purpose of con- sidering re-zoning; and that required Public Notices and notification to property owners be made. Motion carried. * ~ 5. Commtssioner Baker made a motion, seconded by Commtssioner Stabs, that the City join with Boyle Realty Company, in purchasing Christmas decorations for the inter- section of "A" Street and South Second Streets and that the City be authorized to issue a check in the amount of forty- six dollars and twenty-five cents, ~$ 46.25) to Frank Boyle, Sr., as the city's share. Motion carried. 6. Motion made by Commissioner Shepherd, seconded by Commtssioner Baker, and carried, that the following accounts Payable be approved for payment: • Machine Records, /nc. ,~ 396.50 • L. S. Motion made by Commissioner Baker, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, and carried, that the following Purchase Orders be approved: ~ 4040-B Minnesota Mining Mfg. Co. 271.80 4040-A Minnesota Mining Mfg. Co. 307.50 4043 Certified Laboratories 198.00 4056 Pak-Mor Mfg. Company 450.00 * ~ ~ 8. City Engineer Smith advised the Commission of necessary repairs that were being made on the Booster Pump; WeC1, No. 4. Cost of these repairs could not be determined at this time. * * ~ 9. Mayor Pfeiffer advised the Commission that an /nspection Trip by representattves of South Houston, • Pasadena and Deer Park to Wisconsin, to observe the operations of a garbage incinerator, would possibly be made in the near future. A motion was made by Commissioner Baker, and seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, that Mayor Pfetffer, or a representative of Mayor Pfeiffer's choosing, be authorized to make this inspection trip, at the City's expense.
