• MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING of the LA PORTS CITY COMMISSION, LA PORTS, TEXAS March 11~ 1965 MEMBERS OF THE CITY COMMISSION PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer; Commissioners W. A. Stabs, Jr., Frank G. Baker, and Tom W. Osburn. MF~IBERS OF THE CITY COMMISSION ABSENT: Commissioner Russell hepherd. OTHER CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: City Attorney Knox Askins, an Acting C ty lerk H. Carlos Sm3.th. PRESIDING: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer. + + + 1. Commissioner Stabs made a motions seconded by Commissioner Osburn, that Mrs. Ruth Huddleston be appointed Acting Tax Assessor & Collector, and that Mrs. Marilyn Kelley be appointed Acting Director of Finance. Motion carried. + + + 2. A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs, seconded by Commissioner Osburn~ that after having rendered proper releases for the City of La Porte, and Lyman Cunningham, Scott T. Carpenter be paid $ l~O1.lt3 for damages to his automobile, resulting from an accident with a City owned vehicle. Motion carried. + + + 3. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that former City Attorney C. L. Pitman be paid on month retainer fee. Motion Carried. t ~ + !~. C©mmissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Bakery that Former City Clerk Clovis D. Mannts vacation pay of one half months pay be ratified and that he further be paid one full month salary and one and one half months expense allowance. Motion carried. + + • • 5. A motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, and carried, to approve payment of $ lt29.00 to C . W. Sayer. + + + 6. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs, that a temporary expense allowance of $ 100.00 per month be allowed Mrs. Marilyn Kelley, until such time as she is relieved of the additional duties.
