of the
LA PORTS CITY COMM/SS/ON, LA PORTS, TEXAS
April 28, 9965
MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SS/ON PRESENT: Mayor H. P. Pfeiffer, Commis-
sioners Frank Baker, Tom Osburn, W. A. Stabs, Jr., and
Russell Shepherd.
MEMBERS OF THE COMM/SSlON ABSENT: None
OTHER CITY OFF/C/ALS PRESENT: Special Legal Counsel Knox Askins
and Temporary City Clerk, Marilyn Kelley. .
VISTORS PRESENT: Ernest L. Brown, Commissioner Elect Lois Compton
PRESIDING: Mayor Pfeiffer.

9. A canvass of the votes cast in the Municipal Election
held on Tuesday, April 27, 1965 was made. Commissioner
Stabs made a motton, seconded by Commissioner Osburn,
that Ordinance No. 792 be approved and passed on first
and final reading.

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE REGULAR ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTS ON APRIL 27, 9965, FOR THE
ELECTION OF A CITY COMMISSIONER, I~SITION 9, AND A CITY
COMMISSIONER, POSITION 3.

2. A canvass of the votes cast in the Bond Election held
on Tuesday, April 27, 9965 was made. Commissioner Osburn
made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd, That
Ordinance No. 793 be approved and passed on first and
final reading.

3. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner
Shepherd, that the Mayor be authorized to go to New York
at Moroney, Beissner & Company, Inc. expense, to work on
the City Bond Rating. Motion carried.

4. A motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by
Commissioner Stabs, that Mrs. MariCyn Kelley be appointed
City Clerk, D{rector of Finance, and Tax Assessor-Collector,
at a salary of $ 550. per month including an expense
account, the amount to be determined Cater. Motion carried.
THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS AT NAND, THE MEETING
WAS ADJOURNED.
