Freeman, and City Clerk Marilyn Kelley. PRE.SlD1NG: Mayor Pfeiffer + + + 1. Minutes of the Regular meeting of October 25, 1965 were approved as written. + + + 2. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Osburn that the City Attorney be authorized to prepare an Ordinance recogniztng the replat of BCock 2, Bayfront. P9otion carried. + + + 3. A motion was made by CommissionerCompton and seconded by Commissioner Shepherd that upon approval from the Federal Aviation Association and Ernest Brown, the City Engineer be authorized to advertise for bids on the =airport improvements. Motion carried. + + + 4. Commissioner Stabs made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Compton that the City Engineer be authorized to preceed with the construction of the Segmented Circle at an ap>roximate cost of X700. to .800. Motion carried. + + + 5. A motion was made by Commissioner Compton and seconded by Commissioner Osburn that the City Clerk be authorized to transfer Atrport funds from Bayshore Savings ~ Loan to La Porte Sfate Bank as needed. Motion carried. + + + 6. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Compton thc;t the City Engineer be authorized to extend the se~~ier Cines to the North Side. Motion carried. + + + 7. A motion was made by Commissioner Osburn, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd c:nd carried that the City Engineer be authorized to hire the North Side weed's cut at a cost of X263.00. Motion carried. + + t 8. Marshall Dickerson appeared before the Commission requesting that a Gead End sign be placed at Avenue "8" and 11th Street. Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Stabs that the installation of said sign be authorized. Motion carried. + + + 9. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Shepherd and carried that the following Accounts Fayable be approved: Head and Guild ~ 8,181.31 Knox Askins ~ 190.56 + + t 10. Commissioner Compton made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Osburn that the purchase of sign materials fror,; Minnesota, Mining and Mfg., „306.85 be approved. Motion carried. + + + 11, A motion was made by Commissioner Stabs and seconded by Commissioner Compton that December 24 and December 31 be approved as the Christmas and New Years Holidays. Motion carried. + + + 12. The Commission appointed H. Carlos Smith to represent the City on the Texas UJater Research Foundation. + + + • 7.3. Commissioner Osburn made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Compton that the purchase of a 4" co~~paund meter, X950., for the apartment unit in Block S2, be approved.
